Updated Covid 19 Guidelines – 2023/2024
- It is highly recommended that musicians be fully vaccinated to participate (Minimum of first 2 vaccine shots).
- Masks must be worn at all times other than when playing an instrument.
- All Brass and Woodwinds must bring a cloth for the floor to catch any condensation.
- All musicians will be distanced as the space allows.
- Efforts will be made to provide the best ventilation possible in the school & rehearsal space. Use of HEPA filters to improve ventilation.
- It is requested that musicians do not attend classes, rehearsals or concerts if they are not feeling well. If you have contracted Covid or have been in direct contact with someone with Covid please follow current provincial guidelines for isolation periods for vaccinated and unvaccinated people. An instructional band for the budding musicians to learn how to play musically together. It is also the perfect place for those who haven't played their instrument in years and desire to play again simply – "For the Love of Music!"
REHEARSALS - Thursdays, 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.
Rehearsals are now held at FAIRVIEW COMMUNITY CENTRE, 49 Wayne Drive, Brantford
After completing Level 2 in The Brantford School of Instrumental Music program, the budding musicians progress to The Bell City Band. Now that they know how to play the notes, they learn how to play musically with others. The group learns several pieces throughout the year. Performance experience comes when they provide concerts for various senior's/nursing homes. As a musician's skill develops, they will have opportunity to join either The Brantford Memorial Concert Band or The Brantford Community Symphony Orchestra. Some musicians just enjoy their music night out, and are content to stay with The Bell City Band! The membership fee is $100 for the year.
